As a child, I could sense that I was different. I liked to play make-believe rather than with toys. One day I would be a chef, the next an astronaut, and other times a super-hero. I was full of imagination, but more-so stories I would write in my head. I always played a character. I think this is why I love writing. I can be any character I want and my words can be interpreted in so many ways, allowing each person who reads it to imagine their own story.
This website is dedicated to poetry that tell stories. To me, stories remind us of the past, imagine the future, and mark the present. In essence, life is a story and that’s what my poetry is. It’s pages of life, either mine or my neighbor. I write of my experiences and what I’ve observed, hoping that someone can relate, that I’m not at all that different.
